The social network Facebook continues to weaken its 2018 pronounced ban on cryptocurrency advertising. Advertisements regarding “blockchain technology, news from this industry, education or events on cryptocurrency” should no longer require prior approval.

But if you want to advertise directly for cryptocurrencies and related products, you still have to apply for it and go through an evaluation process in which, for example, licenses issued by the authorities play a role. In addition, the ads, if they lead to a landing page for currency exchange, for example, must be pre-approved. Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) remain prohibited.
